Review: Psycle
Back on the trendy fitness bandwagon, this month Hollie and I tried out Psycle. Now I’ve done spinning classes before, but this promised something a bit more. I follow a few spin-queens on Instagram and I’ve also seen the movie (I Feel Pretty), and I was excited for the experience.
Race Review: Turks Head 10km
There are two local races that I kept on hearing about, the Cabbage Patch 10 Miler and the Turks Head 10km. I’ve run the Cabbage Patch (you can read about it here) and I liked it so much, I’m running it again this year. So when a friend said she had 10 places for the Turks Head and if we joined her Riding for the … Continue reading Race Review: Turks Head 10km
Review: Swimsanity
And next on the fitness adventures, we tried SwimSanity – it’s a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout, in the water. And in the water, it’s will be easy on our joints. They say Aqua classes hare the most joint friendly exercise there is, due to the weightlessness in the water. But this is more than an aqua class, in fact the SwimSanity website warns … Continue reading Review: Swimsanity
A new groove
I know after a marathon, people often stop running, or take a proper break. Not me, I was keen to get back at it, that is as soon as my ruined quads would let me (you can read more about my post marathon symptoms here). And as soon as my legs would let me, I got back to running. I booked a few races, and … Continue reading A new groove

April flew by in a flash, and with the Brighton Marathon marathon, and recovery afterwards, I had to leave my friend Hollie to tackle a new fitness challenge on her own. So, being a member of David Lloyd, Hollie decided to try the new Blaze fitness class. Here’s what they say about Blaze: a HIIT class that will test your strength, stamina, and willpower as … Continue reading Review: Blaze

Review: Static Trapeze
As my Friend Hollie and I explore the London fitness class scene, we are becoming more adventurous. We started off with Barry’s Bootcamp, then we moved on to Rebounding at Frame, and next we decided on something totally different, Static Trapeze 🤸. Most people who I told thought it sounded like a cool idea, but that we were totally bonkers🤪. We may be bonkers, but … Continue reading Review: Static Trapeze

After the Marathon
It’s done, I’ve done all the training, raised the some money for a good cause, and ran the race. It’s all done. Whether you are happy with how you did (or not), it’s all boiled down to that day, and now it is over. Here are some thoughts for those coming to terms with the post-marathon phase, and what you might expect. 1. Over analysing … Continue reading After the Marathon
Race Review: Brighton Marathon
So, this was my first marathon, and I was pretty proud that I ran 100% of my training plan. I did substitute a few of the intervals sessions for different ones, but I always hit the mileage, week after week. So, after a pretty successful final 20 mile long run, and a nice taper, I felt ready to do this. Everyone said, I’d done all the hard work, now was just to go out and do what I trained to do. Run 26.2 miles. Continue reading Race Review: Brighton Marathon
